2 weeks of cooking
On the first week back from the holidays I cooked my traditional dish from Egypt. It was called Stuffed Lettuce Leaves. It tasted salty and was very yummy. My Nana helped me make it.
On the third week I did my traditional French dish. It was called Gingerbread Crepes. It was delicious!!! Connor from SBHS helped me make it.

Progress So Far
3 weeks ago I went to the library and got some books about cooking egyption food, I got four books out. I decided to do Egypt first because I hadn't thought that Egypt had special traditional food so I wanted to find out some.

The week after I emailed three famous cooks

who were Peta Mathias, Richard Till and Annabelle White.

The next week they all emailed me back and I made my marking sheet , practised on a muffin and emailed Richard Till and Annabelle White back.
Last week I emailed S.I.T and Boys High to ask if they had anybody that could help me cook when I'm in the kitchen. Next term I am going to start cooking.

Passion project
For my talent development I am going to learn about traditional foods from around the world. I know that Japanese people eat sushi, I know that Chinese people eat wontons, I know that Italian people eat bolognese.

Teacher comment
You have done lots of 'hands on' learning during science this term Kate! During the visits with our experts you made the most of every opportunity and remained open to continuous learning. When researching your own ecosystem, you persisted until you found the information you needed, and then constructed your rainforest very independently! You have demonstrated a good understanding of the various effects humans have on ecosystems. I hope that you are able to use this knowledge to ensure your rainforest survives!

Talent evaluation
This term at Enrich we had to choose from Art Science and robotics for our talent development and I chose to do science because I wanted to learn more about nature. Please watch my keynote to find out some of the things I learnt.
